ImagenUniversal City, CA, June 23, 2008 – Crash and Yasmin are back for their third season of mun2’s hit reality/lifestyle series The Chicas Project. This time, the chicas go cross-country for all new adventures in New York, San Antonio and Los Angeles. Launching Saturday, July 5th at 2PM, viewers will experience the popular destinations through the eyes of mun2’s brazen and beloved young Latinas – the west coast rockera and the reggaetonera from Queens. In anticipation of the premiere, mun2 will offer entire episodes of the first two seasons on holamun2.com/chicas and a Chicas Project marathon beginning June 27th.  “This season, the show hits the road, bringing audiences the true “chicas” experience as Crash and Yasmin react to their new environments,” said Flavio Morales, mun2 Vice President of Programming. “The Chicas Project has truly broken ground, offering a bilingual perspective from two very different young Latinas. We’re really excited to offer the entire series on holamun2.com and bring fans closer to the chicas with their video diaries.”  After two seasons of wild adventures, these ladies are ready for even more mayhem from coast to coast. Native Californian, Crash, has shown us her wild side. Whether jumping from bridges or wrestling lucha libre, this fierce chica is up for any challenge. Yasmin, the Queens born beauty, has overcome innumerable obstacles. From skydiving to the rollerderby, Yasmin has shown that she’s not afraid to face her fears. In the coming weeks, Crash and Yasmin will take on the carneys of Coney Island, the samba ensembles of San Antonio, the graffiti artists of Los Angeles and much more. “Crash and Yasmin travel cross-country this season and find themselves tackling new adventures all with their unique Latina twist,” said Gloria Medel, mun2 Executive Producer. “The audience gets to come along for the ride, they’ll gasp one minute and share a laugh with them the next.”Award-winning writer/director Jim Mendiola takes the third season of the Chicas Project to the streets, delving deep into the local flavors of each city. Beginning in New York, the chicas learn to breath fire, wax poetic and even test their skills in the kitchen. In San Antonio, Crash and Yasmin rush through the city’s famed Fiesta week, from a day on parade to riding side-saddle in a traditional Mexican Charreada (rodeo). Finally, back in Los Angeles, the ladies learn what it takes to Rock the Vote and swing on the flying trapeze. Beginning June 27th, mun2 hosts The Chicas Project marathon, featuring the best of the first two seasons. Plus, the Chicas Project goes digital on holamun2.com/chicas, where fans can immerse themselves in all the action and adventure with photo galleries, blogs, and every episode from seasons one and two.
