RANCHO SANTA FE, CALIF. – The UTEP men’s golf team is in 11th place through 36 holes of the Callaway Invitational on Monday in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
The Miners fired rounds of 310 and 306 for a total of 616, with the final round to be played on Tuesday. SMU leads the 12-team field (293-282-575).
Tanner Taff and Jerry Castrellon each shot an eight-over-par 152 to lead UTEP on day one of the event. They are tied for 35th place. Devin Miertschin is tied for 39th place (153), Chris Ortiz is tied for 60th place (159) and David Persons is in 66th place (162).
