Dia De Los Muertos Exhibit

A series of recent photographs by Lourdes Moreno from three cemeteries in Michoacan. Available to be viewed on October 20th will be an ofrenda or offering, and small ofrendas made by local elementary school children from Escuela Montessori.
Folk Art Activities for Children

2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Local educators will lead children age six and up in crafts to commemorate Día de los Muertos, a yearly remembrance of ancestors. Materials to make traditional papel picado/pierced paper, a calca/skeleton of Catrina, zempasúchil/marigold flowers, and calcas/skeleton string puppets are provided by the museum.

Zip Tour of Día de los Muertos /Day of the Dead Exhibit

Museum staff will present a brief tour of the exhibit and discussion of this annual Mexican tradition honoring ancestors. Free admission.
