April 30, 2010 – El Paso, Texas – Western Technical College (WTC) is pleased to announce that $111,596.50 in scholarships will be awarded at its upcoming Annual Scholarship Banquet on May 4th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Main Campus. The event will host over 35 high school students and families from Socorro, Ysleta, and El Paso Independent School Districts that will be receiving awards to attend one of WTC’s eleven programs of study.
Bill Terrell, Chief Administrative Officer for WTC, says “This is an excellent opportunity for high school students to develop skills and receive career training in the areas for which they are interested in and receiving the financial award. Allocating scholarship funds annually to both high school students and military and their dependents is something we are dedicated to doing at WTC. It is one more way for us to give back to the community and support students who will in turn enrich the public with their knowledge and skills developed at WTC.”
