Animals and Plants of the Chihuahuan Desert Lecture Series
This four part free lecture series is designed to introduce teens to the animals and plants of the Chihuahuan Desert with a focus on those species found within City limits and in local State Parks and wildlife refuges.
When: The lecture series will take place every Thursday in October
Time: 7:00 pm to 8:00pm.
Where: El Paso Zoo, in the El Paso Water Utilities Discovery Center, Meet at the Front Gate at 6:45 pm.

Session 1- Thursday, October 8 -overview of the Chihuahuan Desert and
places to explore the desert here in El Paso and the surrounding
region
Session 2 – Thursday, October 15 – the plant life of the Chihuahuan Desert
Session 3 – Thursday, October 22 – the invertebrates and reptiles and
amphibians of the Chihuahuan Desert
Session 4 – Thursday, October 29 – the birds and mammals of the
Chihuahuan Desert
