The El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will take on Capitol Hill this week during the annual legislative trip, HC to DC during a defining moment for the Nation’s business community.
“There is no more important time to be at the nation’s capital than now. It is of high importance that we establish strategic alliances with administration, legislative leaders and those individuals that will be essential in representing our small minority and women owned businesses, now more than ever,” said Cindy Ramos-Davidson, CEO of your El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The 2010 HC to DC delegates consist of over ten local business owners and entrepreneurial representatives who will be meeting with a variety of key leaders to discuss issues pertaining to procurement, healthcare, business taxes, access to capital and commerce among other issues.

Currently, the newly elected officials and the 111th congress have an enormous obligation to stimulate and repair the nation’s economy. Congressional leadership is already reacting to the policies of the new administration which will have a direct impact on the future of our businesses.
If we expect to be included and represented effectively, the El Paso business community must deepen relationships in Congress and maintain a high profile with key decision makers.

With so much at stake, the timing of the Legislative Conference is fortuitous. The delegates of your El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will gather in the nation’s capital giving the representative an unparalleled opportunity to stay ahead of the curve in terms of Congressional policy, programs and priorities in this historic time.
In addition to meeting with key business representatives during the HC to DC legislative trip, El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce delegates will also be able to participate in the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) 20th Legislative Conference.
Among the critical discussions planned for the Conference are reviews of green energy solutions and assessments of market opportunities that offer existing businesses new tools for stabilization or expansion. The Conference will also tackle several other issues related to access to capital, immigration, education and workforce development, and healthcare reform.
