Sanders is a native of the Oklahoma City area where she is currently a social worker moonlighting as a visual artist. She took first place in Drawing/Graphics at the 2007 Mayfair arts festival and 1st place in Drawing/Graphics at the 2007 Route 66 Clinton Art Festival. She has also been a guest artist at the 50 Penn Place Art Gallery.
