Blackburn, Oklahoma Historical Society Executive Director . “Along the way you will encounter intersecting musical styles that range from Rhythm and Blues to Soul and Western Swing. You will meet pioneers who changed the landscape of musical history such as Woody Guthrie, Leon Russell, and Wayne Coyne. Most importantly, you will feel the music.”

“In Another Hot Oklahoma Night: A Rock and Roll Story, a talented group of musicians, reporters, and historians offer their unique perspectives on musical history. Some of the stories are pulled from real life experiences,”
Blackburn explained.  “Others offer a rare view into the roots of that music, whether it was Tulsa, Norman, Stillwater, or the myriad small towns where the universal language of music found fertile soil for expression.”
