Background: This media roundtable will provide important information regarding Meningococcal Disease.
The recent Oologah meningococcal outbreak resulted in increased interest in the disease. As a result, confusion exists about the different types of meningitis and confusion exists about proper mitigation and prevention techniques.
During the roundtable discussion, you’ll learn about meningococcal disease and have an opportunity to ask public health experts questions related to the outbreak, the frequency of the disease in Oklahoma, and how Oklahomans can avoid the tragic outcomes associated with the Oologah outbreak.
