UTEP Women’s Golf Team in Sixth at UALR Classic

ImagenLITTLE ROCK, ARK. – The UTEP women’s golf team is in sixth place through 36 holes of the UALR Classic on Monday in Little Rock, Ark.

The Miners compiled rounds of 308 and 297 for a total of 605 on day one of the tournament, which ends on Tuesday.

Rosana Gomez (79-71) and Teresa Nogues (78-72) each fired a six-over-par 150 and are tied for 16th place to pace UTEP. Shang-Fan Huang is tied for 28th place (76-76-152), Liz Sobczak is tied for 34th place (75-79-154) and Deborah Martinez is tied for 57th place (81-78-159).

Middle Tennessee State heads up the 18-team field with 588
