Oklahoma City Elementary School Receives $20,000 from Local Church

What: $20,000 in material donations to renovate school.
 
When: Saturday June 21, 2008 from 8am-5pm.
 
Where: Eisenhower Elementary School; 2401 Northwest 115th Terrace in Oklahoma City.
 
Why:  Eisenhower Elementary Principal Angela Houston recommended renovation and clean up at her Northwest Oklahoma City School; members of People’s Church were looking for a local school to donate supplies and time. The help will come in the form of approximately $20,000 in supplies and 140 volunteers; with work beginning this Saturday.
 

Refinishing the stage in the cafeteria.
Installing a new sound system.
Replacing the pads, backboards, and basketball rims in the large gym.
Adding benches and landscaping the grounds.
Picking up around campus.
 
People’s Church members say they want to have a personal impact on the students at Eisenhower Elementary. New benches around campus will give students a place to sit and read outside, a refinished stage and new sound system will help compliment the outstanding school plays and productions planned next year. The students will see the finished product when school starts in August, this weekend you can see the work in progress.
