State Representatives Speak at Grand Opening Event

Oklahoma City, OK (Grassroots Newswire) April 30, 2008 – Brooke Insurance in Oklahoma City was the site of an open house celebration for the community on Thursday, April 24, at LaDawna Miller’s new office in the French Market Mall, located at 2800 NW 63rd Street, Suite 200. Miller recently moved her office from its previous location in Newcastle to the French Market Mall in Oklahoma City.

Approximately 75 attendees of the open house event enjoyed free sandwiches and other refreshments, which were provided by B & B Catering. There were many local and state dignitaries that attended and gave short presentations including: Wayne Reid, Executive Director of the Eastside Capitol Gateway Main Street Program; Maggie Green, President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority; Mike Shelton, State Representative; Connie Johnson, State Senator; Anita Arnold, Executive Director of the Black Liberated Arts Center; Rev. Harvey Potts, Sr., Pastor of the Allen Chapel AME Church and Bonnie Schwartz, Economic Director of the Community Action. Mike Shelton presented Miller with a citation of congratulations for her new Brooke Insurance office.
There were several prize giveaways throughout the event; winners included Tamara Williams, Dr. Kevin McPherson, Frank Cevallos, Sherman Rochell and Marilyn McKinney. Two grand prizes drawings were also held; Chanel Ervin won an MP3 player and Felicia Adams won a satellite radio.
