Regional Disaster Full-Scale Exercise
OKLAHOMA CITY – A regional disaster full-scale exercise will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2008. This exercise will incorporate responders from disciplines including, public works, public health, police, fire, disaster relief organizations, volunteer groups, EMS, hospitals, neighborhood associations, city management, and animal welfare.
In today’s world, it is vital that officials from all response disciplines and across the metro work and train together in order to be prepared for any hazard our community may face. Full-scale exercises are an important part of the multi-layered approach to all-hazards preparation.
The media is invited to cover portions of this exercise from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The media will also have the opportunity to conduct interviews of willing exercise participants, during this time.
