The Oklahoma City Employee Association invites all citizens to its first Spring Festival from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 15, in the Hobbies, Arts, and Crafts Building at the State Fair Park.  Admission is free.

The Spring Festival is sponsored by the Oklahoma City Employee Association.  The festival offers citizens an opportunity to see an Oklahoma City Fire Department rig up close and visit with team representatives from the NBA Thunder and RedHawks baseball.  Vendors include Oklahoma-based merchants that will sell jewelry, candles, kitchen gadgets, soap, children’s clothes and hair ribbons, etched glass, T-shirts and more.

“Our association has a mission to encourage unity between Oklahoma City employees and the community,” said Laura Shoemake, Special Events Chairman for the Association. “The festival is intended to help promote buying from Oklahoma companies.”

There is no fee for booth space, but vendors must pay for the City Sales Permit, which is only $30 for the day-long event.

They must also possess a Sales Tax Permit.  Vendors who would like to participate may contact Laura Shoemake at 405-499-0005, cell 405-246-6656 or laura.shoemake@okc.gov.

The Oklahoma City Employee Association was formed in 1989 to foster employee morale and promote awareness of the needs of the community and community service.
